The Forts, have a rectangular plane and are nothing more than military power artillery used for the control of the Strait of Messina. The structure common to almost all the forts, has a moat that protect the side of the land, which access was guaranteed by the presence of drawbridges. The structure had, also, a central courtyard and many galleries below the fortification.
